E-Health Assistants support the userĀ“s maintenance of health. An important aspect when considering these services is user motivation.

Motivational Health Games

We first discover that games directly model the preventive process model (Motivation to perform Action to reach Goal to get Feedback Motivation). Therefore, games are ideal vehicles for supporting this preventive process. We model the connection between physical user state and actions on one hand and the game worlds external control points on the other by using a dynamic layer called user manifestation mappings. This allows virtually any combination of interaction scheme and game worlds in general and also the integration of virtually any legacy game.
