RoboCup Iran Open


The 11th RoboCup Iran Open competitions takes place in Tehran in April 06-08, 2016. More than 2-thousand students and for the first time pupils from different countries take part on this event. 320 teams from 650 applicants have been chosen. Three days robots will compete in three categories: including humanoids, flying robots and rescuers. There are different leagues and difficulty levels. The competition has been organized by the Iranian RoboCup National Committee and Qazvin Azad University. The Committee was officially formed in July 2006 with the objective of promoting robotics and Artificial Intelligence research. 


             

 

The DAI-Laboratory attends also with his NAO-Robots-Team to this event. The humanoid robots played soccer and won already two of three games. Today they play against the HTWK Leipzig.
