Semantic Web Technologies in Multi-Agent Systems

ContactsNils MasuchMichael Burkhardt, Dr. Thomas Konnerth

Semantic Web Technologies are concerned with automated interpretation and reasoning on structured knowledge representation, such as ontologies. This information is often wrapped in semantic service descriptions that make the functionality of any component machine-understable. In the context of multi-agent systems we regard this approach to be a promising extension towards autonomous agent behaviour. In our research, we investigate automated Service Matchmaking, Service Engineering and Service Composition and the integration of Semantic Web Technologies into the development methodology of Multi-Agent Systems.
